Who We Are ...

The TOSC is a non-profit social welfare private organization, and our membership forms a "Circle of Friends" by enjoying fun times and working together to support many charitable endeavors and organizations on the base and in the surrounding community.  We strive to meet a wide range of interests and needs through our social functions, special activities, and volunteer opportunities.

The TOSC hosts a monthly social function for our members to gather for fun and friendship.  Members can also enjoy participating in special activities such as Bunco, Book Club, Gourmet Club, Lunch Bunch, and Mah Jongg to name a few.

The Thrift Shop provides the TOSC the opportunity to raise income to award scholarships and provide charitable contributions for organizations and events.

The Board of Governors is responsible for formulating the policies and directing the operations and organization of the Tinker OSC.  The Board meets monthly and consists of an Executive Board of elected officers plus the Parliamentarian, the Honorary President and Advisors, and the appointed standing committee chairpersons.  To find out more about volunteer opportunities and serving on the Board, contact our President.

Our monthly newsletter, Smoke Signal, our website and our Facebook page keep TOSC members informed of our current activities, both social and charitable, and current Thrift Shop information.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support our membership, the Air Force, Team Tinker and the local community through social interaction, charitable contributions, and educational scholarships.

Our vision is:

• to empower and encourage spouses to be the heart and soul of their military family,
• to improve our base and local community so we live in a safe, healthy and nurtured environment, and
• for all military spouses and dependents to achieve their educational goals.

Our purpose is:

• Caring:  by promoting morale, goodwill and fellowship among our membership through socials and special activities,
• Sharing:  by identifying and contributing to the charitable needs of our base and local community, and
• Giving:  by recognizing scholastic excellence in military spouses and dependents and provide the means to further their academic pursuits.

A Note from our President

Welcome to Tinker Air Force Base and the Oklahoma City area!  While you are here, the Tinker OSC can be that familiar connection - a great group of spouses who have much to share.  There is something for everyone at the TOSC, whether you like to organize, decorate, enjoy a good read, or simply socialize.  Please join us!  We would love to get to know you!
